Everglades wildfire west of Weston is contained with no active threats
The fire burned across the Everglades and the Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area in western Broward County, west of Weston near Interstate 75. Crews fully contained the blaze as fire activity diminished to minimal creeping through tall grass. The fire poses no threat to nearby communities or property.
