Fire contained west of Fellsmere as officials issue final update
The Blue Lake Fire burned through chaparral fuels approximately five miles west of Fellsmere in Indian River County. The fire exhibited creeping behavior before fire crews brought it under full containment. The fire poses no threat to nearby communities or property.
