The Harris Fire burned through grass and brush on ranchland northwest of Woodson in Throckmorton County, crossing County Road 334 before firefighters halted its forward progress. Ground crews and heavy equipment secured containment lines around the perimeter following an active push to the northwest earlier in the week.
