Crews reach full containment as mop-up and perimeter patrols continue
The Rio Escondido Fire is located northeast of Evant in Hamilton County, burning across private land in grass, brush, and timber understory. Fire activity diminished to creeping and smoldering over the past several days as firefighters completed containment lines around the perimeter. The fire is no longer advancing and presents no current threat to nearby communities.

Impact
Interior pockets of unburned vegetation continue to produce visible smoke across the area, while personnel conduct damage assessments.
Conditions and Outlook
