Firefighters protect homes as wildfire burns up hillside near Malaga

The Tarpiscan Fire ignited southeast of Malaga near milepost 1 on Tarpiscan Road and rapidly advanced up an adjacent hillside. Firefighters from multiple area agencies deployed to defend threatened structures along the 7400 block of Tarpiscan Road north of Agnew Road.
